Barak Berkowitz stepping down at Six Apart
Software company Six Apart has announced that their Chairman and Chief Executive Barak Berkowitz is stepping down from his positions in the company.
His work would now be handled by Chris Alden who is currently managing the company’s professional software unit.
Berkowitz has been heading the company for around four years. He had joined the company representing the first outside investor in Six Apart.
Six Apart is well known for their software and online services like Movable Type and TypePad. The company claims that their software solutions are used by around 40 million people a month.
Berkowitz said in a statement on this move: “As we’ve brought the business to scale, the board and I have been talking about my desire to take on a smaller role. With the company so stable and on a great growth track, it’s a natural time to make a transition.”
