Adidas to be one of the sponsors of London 2012
London 2012 has confirmed that Adidas has now become one of their major sponsors. The deal with Adidas is worth around £100 million.
They are hoping to have around five or six partners more big partners by the time game begins.
They already have two other major sponsors in the form of Lloyds TSB and EDF Energy.
Adidas would now be providing kit for the British Olympic and Paralympic teams for two tournaments: Vancouver winter games of 2010 and London 2012.
The deal would see Adidas having exclusive licensing rights for branded and unbranded sports wear at London 2012 venues and stores.
Lord Coe, the chairman of the London Organizing Committee spoke about this deal with the company: “Adidas are a perfect partner for us as we share many common goals including a vision to reach out and inspire young people in the UK and beyond.”
