Unitech latest to announce mobile industry plans
It’s surprising to see real estate companies announcing their plans to enter the Indian telecom market.
The latest player to reveal their plans is the real estate developer Unitech Ltd. The company has now announced their plans to apply for licenses to provide telecom services across the country.
Unitech said in a statement on their plans: “The continuous rapid growth in India’s telephone services business indicates the enormous potential for future growth in this business. Further, it would help boost the group’s telecom and transmission tower manufacturing business.”
India happens to be one of the fastest mobile markets in the world and millions of new customers are added every month.
They are incidentally not alone. Rival real estate developer Parsvnath recently announced their plans to enter this market. We would not be surprised if DLF is the next one to reveal their telecom venture plans!
