Research: Europeans not interested in Mobile TV
Mobile service providers might be very keen on launching television services on these portable devices…
But research has shown that customers are not very interested in spending time watching television on their mobile phones.
A Gartner study conducted in Europe found out that only about 5 percent of Europeans expressed interest in watching television or video on their cellphones in the next 12 months.
This is much less compared to some 20 percent of Asians who had like to get this kind of service enabling them to watch mobile television.
Carolina Milanesi, a Gartner analyst added in a statement: “I think the main reason is the compromise you are making on the device you need to carry to watch TV — either too big if you want a nice experience or too small and you do not have a good experience.”
