Ansal API ties up with UEM Builders

- To form JV for Construction & Engineering Projects -

Mumbai, September 28, 2007: Ansal Properties & Infrastructure Limited, a leading real estate developer in India has signed an MOU to form a joint venture company with the UEM Builders, a subsidiary of Malaysia’s largest Conglomerate UEM Group. Ansal API will engage the JV Company to carry out building/construction and engineering activity work in India. The board of directors for the JV named UEM Builders-Ansal API Contracts Pvt Ltd will be drawn from both Ansal API and UEM Builders.

Speaking on the occasion, Dato’ Ridza Abdoh, Managing Director of UEM Builders said, “The infrastructure and real estate sector in India is on an upswing, offering tremendous opportunity for us. Having established a strong foothold in South East-Asia and over ten years of experience in construction activities in India, it was an obvious choice for us to expand our presence in the country.”
