Apple general counsel Donald Rosenberg leaving for Qualcomm
Apple has just announced that Daniel Cooperman from Oracle is joining the company as their new general counsel.
He would be taking over from Donald Rosenberg who is now moving to mobile chip manufacturer Qualcomm.
This means that Rosenberg is leaving the iPod maker after just 10 months on the job. He had joined Apple in November last year.
He had previously worked at IBM for more than 30 years.
His new job is at Qualcomm which is currently the world’s second-largest provider of cellular phone chips. He would have a tough time there as the company is entangled into several patent related lawsuits against other companies including Nokia and Broadcom.
Steve Jobs spoke about his departure: “We thank Don for his contributions to Apple during the past 10 months and wish him well in his future endeavors.”
