Tata Rs. 1 Lakh car would feature engine in the back
Economic Times has reported that Tata’s upcoming Rs. 1 lakh car would be powered with an engine placed in the back of the car.
This is essentially to improve the fuel efficiency of the car and it would also help them keep the costs low.
The car is scheduled to go on sale sometime next year. And it is expected to be the cheapest four wheeler in the world at that time.
The report further said that the base model of the car would feature variomatic gears. A more expensive model would feature manual gears. This is somewhat surprising considering AUTO models in the market are usually priced much higher than manual ones.
The higher end model would also feature some other luxuries including air-conditioning, power windows and power steering, among others.
