Reliance Retail sack workers as it faces political backlash
Reliance Retail has announced that they are now sacking as many as 400 workers in West Bengal as they are facing political opposition.
The company is being forced out of the state as they cannot start their retail operations here.
A company representative added that they could soon be forced to sack more employees.
Incidentally, Reliance is also facing criticism in some other states including Orissa and Uttar Pradesh.
They had initially hired around 800 people in West Bengal for their retail stores in this state.
It’s sad considering an Indian company is being forced to stop operations due to political pressure from the government!
