Music label Zomba has sued PerezHilton.com for copyright infringement
Music label Zomba has filed a copyright infringement lawsuit against the popular media blog PerezHilton.com.
The lawsuit claims that the gossip blog posted recordings by musician Britney Spears.
They have filed the lawsuit in the U.S. District Court in Los Angeles. The songs are from the upcoming Britney album named Blackout.
This album was originally scheduled for launch next month but it had to be preponed because of the leaks on the web.
Zomba is asking for real and punitive damages as well as legal costs in this lawsuit. They are targeting both the web site and its owner Mario Lavandeira.
