Sanyo considering selling mobile business to Kyocera
Sanyo has said that they are nearing a deal with Kyocera to sell their mobile business to the company.
Kyocera along with the Sanyo mobile business would then become the world’s seventh-biggest handset maker.
Sanyo is struggling and is undergoing a restructuring. This deal would enable them to focus on their core fields.
Market analysts believe that the deal could fetch Sanyo close to around $595million however nothing has been confirmed as of now.
Sanyo is incidentally also in talks with Advantage Partners to sell of their chip operations.
