AT&T sues Vonage for Patent Infringement
Looks like Vonage would continue to face legal problems from rival telephony companies in the US market.
They have now been sued by the telecom giant AT&T for patent infringement.
This was revealed in a Vonage regulatory filing on Friday. The filing reveals that AT&T has filed the lawsuit seeking injunctive relief, compensatory and treble damages and attorneys’ fees.
No monetary figures have been released by Vonage.
Apparently, the lawsuit was filed by AT&T in the U.S. District Court of the Western District of Wisconsin.
Vonage incidentally has just settled a previous lawsuit filed against them by Sprint Nextel. They are also in the process of seeking a review of another lawsuit filed by Verizon Communications.
