Daimler AG close to announcing a Truck Deal for India

Daimler AG has said that they are very close to announcing a deal with an Indian partner to start manufacturing trucks for the Indian market.

A company executive said in a statement on the developments: “In India, we are very close to an announcement. We have found a partner.”

They are also working on plans to build a truck assembly facility in Russia.

Daimler wants to expand their presence in the growing markets like India, China and Russia but are taking different routes in all these markets.

They are already the world’s largest maker of medium- and heavy-duty trucks and holds about 17 percent of the global market.

Their brands of trucks include Mercedes-Benz, Freightliner and Mitsubishi Fuso.
