Cisco Systems acquire Navini Networks
Cisco Systems has announced that they are now acquiring privately held Navini Networks.
The deal is worth around $330 million and this would help Cisco expand their product range connected to the new wireless internet technology WiMax.
Cisco said in its statement that the acquisition would help them build high-speed Internet networks in regions where wired networking is not possible or too expensive.
Navini specializes in manufacturing base stations, modems and antennas for beaming and receiving radio signals using WiMax technology.
Navini Networks is based in Texas.
