International Lease Finance acquiring 20 A350 wide body jets
International Lease Finance Corp. has placed an order for 20 A350 wide body jets from Airbus SAS.
Airbus is the world’s biggest aircraft manufacturer and this deal would help them compete against Boeing of USA.
The two companies said that this order is for two plane models A350-800 and A350-900. They also retain the option to select the A350-1000.
ILFC is now expecting to receive the deliveries of this planes between 2014 and 2017.
ILFC Chief Operating Officer John Plueger added: “Timing of the revised agreement is the result of more than a year’s worth of discussions. Our revised order for the A350 XWB parallels ILFC’s initial order for 20 firm B787 aircraft.”
