TVS files a defamation lawsuit against Bajaj Auto
TVS Motor Company has announced that they have now filed a Rs 250 crore defamation suit against Bajaj Auto.
This lawsuit has been filed in the Bombay High Court. The case is related to Bajaj claiming that TVS had infringed on their patented technologies.
A company representative said in a statement on this lawsuit: “We have gone ahead with a Rs 250 crore suit in the Bombay High Court, and have nothing more to say at this point of time. The suit was filed last week.”
Bajaj had recently claimed that TVS was infringing on their patented technologies with their 125cc TVS Flame motorcycle. This new bike is scheduled to be launched in the market in December.
TVS has used their own technology which they have named CCVTi (controlled combustion variable timing intelligent). Bajaj claimed that it infringed on their DTSi technology for engines.
