IBM acquiring NovusCG
US based tech giant IBM has announced that they are acquiring privately held NovusCG. This company specializes in providing business intelligence and storage analytics solutions.
Val Rahmani, a general manager for IBM’s infrastructure management services spoke on this acquisition deal: “Clients of all sizes are challenged to drive more effective utilization of their infrastructure to conserve energy and save money while serving their business goals.”
David Hill, principal analyst for the Mesabi Group added his views on this latest IBM acquisition deal: “NovusCG can help provide customers detailed, actionable storage strategies with step-by-step business justification and demonstrable ROI as well as metrics to track and measure progress. Better storage analytics is a good step forward toward better storage performance.”
This deal is not one of the big ones that IBM has made in the recent times. But it would indeed help them to expand their storage and data capabilities.
