British Airways to use A380 on Indian routes
British Airways has announced that they are going to use A380 planes on Indian routes.
British Airways general manager Asia-Pacific Robert Baird said in a statement: “We have confirmed orders of the A380. We have had a phenomenal growth in traffic from India and a big aircraft like A380 will help us meet the increasing demand and deliver better service in this volume market.”
Incidentally, Indian airline company Kingfisher Airlines also has ordered booked for this particular plane.
BA added that they have seen impressive growth in its Indian market and they aim to fully make use of the available opportunities.
BA further said: “We have had major traffic growth from Delhi and Mumbai and we have applied for space at both the airports to construct lounges. With both these airports being modernized, we plan to set up a dedicated-British Airways lounge at Mumbai.”
