BEA Systems still looking for a possible buyer
BEA Systems might have rejected the offer from Oracle but they are still looking for a possible buyer.
The company said in a statement that they are still holding out for a $21 a share takeover offer.
Oracle had offered them a $17 a share deal which they rejected. Oracle has now withdrawn their offer for the company.
Oracle had this to say about other options for the company they had shown an interest in acquiring: “The BEA shareholders should not assume that Oracle will renew its $17 per share offer in the future.”
Market analysts believe that Oracle is unlikely to avoid another possible bid for the company as they stand to gain much from this acquisition deal.
