France Telecom denies talking to Google for a possible mobile device launch
Market reports suggested that search engine giant Google was in talks with several international mobile service provider to launch mobile devices powered by their technologies.
This included potential talks with France Telecom.
France Telecom has now officially denied any such talks with the US based company. A company spokesperson stated: “We formally deny being in talks with Google about a handset.”
A report in the Wall Street Journal had said that Google is due to launch the much rumored Gphone device which is likely to be built by several manufacturers and would be offered by mobile service providers around the world.
