Securent being acquired by Cisco Systems
Cisco has announced their latest acquisition deal. The networking company is now buying Securent which specializes in supplying policy management software for enterprises.
The deal is worth around USD 100 million.
Cisco said that this deal would help them provide an expanded range of services to their customers.
They are also likely to gain new customers who wants technology solutions to protect application data regardless of vendor, platform, or operating system.
Securent is based in Mountain View, California and they have 57 employees. The company also has a development center in Hyderabad in India.
