Airbus opens up a training center in Bangalore
Airbus Industrie has announced the establishment of Airbus Engineering and Training Center in Bangalore city in India.
This is their biggest such setup outside its base in Toulouse, France.
This facility was inaugurated by the company President and Chief Executive Officer Thomas Enders.
Airbus said that this unit would be equipped with seven simulators. It would be capable of catering to 2,000 aviation engineers by 2010.
This should help solve the problem related to shortage of pilots in the country. Aviation sector has seen a major boom in the recent years in the Indian market.
