Casio W-CDMA coming up in Japan
Casio has said that they are now planning to launch W-CDMA technology based mobile devices in the Japanese market.
With this they would be able to target a larger audience in their home market.
The company currently manufactures CDMA-based phones. These phones are sold by KDDI in the Japanese market. They also provide them through Verizon in the US.
With the launch of the W-CDMA based mobile devices, they would be able to become a supplier to NTT DoCoMo Inc and Softbank Corp in the Japanese market.
Things are becoming complicated in Japan as KDDI is also buying mobile phones from rivals including Sharp and Matsushita Electric.
