Dell acquiring EqualLogic Inc.

US based personal computer maker Dell has announced that they are now going to acquire EqualLogic Inc.

The deal is worth around USD 1.4 billion and it would be Dell’s largest such acquisition since ever.

EqualLogic is a great buy for the company as they have more than 3,200 customers for its storage systems.

Yale University and Harvard University are two of the renowned universities which are using their storage solutions.

With this Dell would get an expanded product line in the segment of the market which is growing at a rapid pace.

Dell said in a statement on this acquisition: “We continue to believe our growth will be driven not only by organic expansion but through our partners and acquisitions. We’re going to do what makes sense to help grow our business.”
