Walmart.com not providing online grocery delivery
Walmart.com has stated that they are not entering online grocery delivery business.
Market sources had claimed that the retailing giant was entering this industry through an expansion of their home delivery service for grocery items sold at its Sam’s Club warehouse division.
Walmart.com CEO Raul Vazquez said in a statement on their existing services: “There are some specialty items that are food-related that can be delivered, but it’s not geared for your weekly shopping trip.”
Incidentally Amazon.com already has a presence in the segment through their pilot program, called AmazonFresh.
