Softbank post improved profits

Softbank Corp. has come out with their latest revenue report and the company has said that their profit more than tripled in the fiscal first half.

The Japanese telecom company gained as more customers joined their services.

Softbank posted a profit of $405.1 million during the six months ended Sept. 30. This is much better compared to figures posted by them in the same period last year.

Sales for the company in this period were up 22 percent at $11.90 billion.

Softbank President Masayoshi Son had this to say about the future of mobile phones in Japanese market: “Cell phones are going to advance from something used for talking to Internet machines.”
