Samsung disappointed with sales in Japan
South Korean tech giant Samsung has revealed that they have now stopped selling flat panel televisions and other consumer products in Japan.
The company said that they had to take this step due to poor profitability in this market.
Japan is full of challenge as customers prefer to buy stuff from domestic companies like Sony, Panasonic and Sharp.
A company representative added: “We judged direct sales to individual consumers are less profitable than business-to-business sales.”
They are however continuing to sell flat screen computer monitors directly to businesses. Samsung is also going to continue offering mobile phone handsets to Japanese mobile service provider Softbank.
