Wall Street Journal to become subscription fee free!
News Corp. boss Rupert Murdoch has revealed that he is now planning to drop the subscription fees for the Wall Street Journal news service.
He said in a statement: “We are studying it and we expect to make that free, and instead of having 1 million, having at least 10 million to 15 million in every corner of the earth.”
Apparently, he is hopeful that the increased online advertising revenues would be able to compensate for this changed subscription model.
Wall Street Journal currently has around 1 million paying subscribers. They generate close to around $50 million in fees for the news media company.
