Fiat Cinquecento: 2008 European Car of the Year
European automaker Fiat has something to cheer about. Their Cinquecento model has just won the 2008 European Car of the Year (COTY) award.
This Fiat model is based on their Panda platform and it received 385 votes from the 58 European judges.
The second position was taken by the Mazda2 which scored 325 points. Ford Mondeo came third with 202 points.
Fiat Cinquecento would go on sale in the UK next year and it would be priced competitive as Fiat aims to increase their sales worldwide.
It is already available in some European countries and has managed to capture the customers’ hearts.
