Chevrolet Captiva in India by January next year
General Motors is likely to launch their new SUV product Chevrolet Captiva in the market sometime in January next year.
Captiva would be offered with a seven-seat layout option. It is likely to be imported in the Indian market from the company’s Korean collaboration.
This model is sold in that market with the name Daewoo Winstrom.
It would be positioned against Honda CR-V and the upcoming Hyundai Santa Fe model in the Indian market.
Karl Slym, President and Managing Director of GM India spoke on their plans to bring Captiva in India: “The homologation requirements for the Captiva have been completed, but we are yet to finalize the price.”
GM is likely to launch this product at the upcoming Auto Expo 2008.
