Vodafone wants to get full control of Vodacom

UK based mobile service provider Vodafone has said that they are now interested in acquiring full control at South African unit Vodacom.

Vodacom is a venture between them and Telkom of South Africa.

Telekom has however exited the talks over handing over their stake in the company to Vodafone.

A Vodafone representative added in a statement: “No more talks are taking place at the moment but we continue to be interested if the opportunity presents and it can be done at a fair price.”
