Samsung not acquiring Micron Technology unit

South Korean tech giant Samsung has clarified that they are not interested in acquiring Micron Technology’s image sensor business as reported in the media.

The Maeil Business Newspaper had earlier reported that as per their inside sources, Samsung was planning to acquire this business division.

Samsung said in a statement that this report was baseless.

A company representative had recently said that their non-memory business was a priority for the company and they were planning to expand these businesses.
