Verizon Wireless announces decision to support Google Android Platform
Verizon Wireless has now announced their plans to support the recently announced Google Android mobile platform.
Verizon Wireless Chief Executive Officer Lowell McAdam confirmed in a statement: “We’re planning on using Android. Android is an enabler of what we do.”
The company is known for their locked network where they only support mobile phone sold by them customized for their services.
Verizon Wireless is however unlikely to offer the same level of customer services on these third party devices as they provide to customers buying their own handsets.
