Prestige Group and PVR to open 60 screens in South India
India’s leading multiplex operator PVR has announced that they are now going to work with Bangalore-based Prestige Group to expand in the Southern Indian states.
The two companies would now open up 60 screens in South India.
Pramod Arora, president & CEO, PVR said in a statement that they are partnering with Forum Malls in South Indian cities of Mangalore, Mysore, Chennai, Kochi, Hyderabad and Bangalore.
He further said: “We are to spend about Rs 80 to 85 crore spread over 2 to 3 years in operationalising multiplex screens.”
Irfan Razack, chairman & managing director, Prestige Group added: “The Company is planning to raise a combination of debt, private equity and internal accruals to build malls in South India.”
