IBM now has 73,000 employees in India
US based IBM has been expanding their presence massively in the Indian market. The company now has around 73,000 employees in India.
This is a massive leap of almost 40% compared to the figures last year. Market sources claim that the company now has 20% workforce located in India.
India happens to be the second largest center for IBM after the home country USA.
IBM started expanding in India to gain from the lower labor costs India which provides highly skilled workers.
The company recently stated that they expected to see revenue from the Indian market jump to nearly $1 billion this year.
