Tata Motors likely to win bid for Jaguar and Land Rover
Britain’s Sunday Times has reported that as per their sources, Tata Motors is likely to be named the preferred bidder for Jaguar and Land Rover brands.
Ford has been looking for a possible buyer for these two luxury brands and several parties are involved in the bidding process.
India is represented well by Tata Motors and Mahindra & Mahindra.
The announcement is likely to come before the end of the month. Tata Motors is expected to pay close to around USD 1 billion for this deal.
Ford is selling off these two brands as they aim to focus on their own domestic market where they are struggling to compete against the Japanese automakers.
