Tata to test run Rs. 1 lakh car in April 2008

Market sources have said that Tata Motors would start conducting test runs of their Rs. 1 lakh car in April next year.

The company is scheduled to launch them in the market sometime by the middle of 2008. They are already testing them in-house.

Tata Motors has apparently completed developing prototypes of the car and they are likely to showcase it at the upcoming Auto Expo fair in Delhi.

This car is pretty crucial for the company as they aim to take on the market leader Maruti in the domestic market.

Tata’s upcoming car would become the cheapest car in the world when it is launched next year.
