ONGC is one of the World’s Most Admired Companies
The Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd has now become India’s first company to be featured in the Fortune Magazine’s annual list of the World’s Most Admired Companies.
The list is formed after a survey conducted by the Fortune magazine in collaboration with Hay Group.
ONGC incidentally is also ranked 369th among the Fortune Global 500 companies for the year 2007 based on its turnover. Its rank is 121st based on profits.
R S Sharma, CMD, ONGC spoke on this achievement: “Our growing focus on ethics and corporate governance has won this distinction and we are optimistic that going forward, we will keep getting more and better recognitions”.
