Charles Giancarlo leaving Cisco
Cisco’s Chief Development Officer, Charles Giancarlo has been widely considered as the candidate to be picked up to lead the company in the company years.
However, he has now announced his decision to leave the company.
Giancarlo said in a statement that he would leave the company at the end of the month. He would be joining private equity firm Silver Lake as a managing director in January.
He added: “It’s been a very difficult decision for me to leave Cisco.”
This is the second major loss for the company after their another senior executive Mike Volpi left the company to join Joost earlier this year.
