EMC to acquire Document Sciences
Document Sciences is being acquired by EMC Corp.
Document Sciences specializes in providing communications management software and the deal is worth around $85 million.
EMC said that they do not expect this deal to have a material impact on its 2008 results. The company specializes in providing corporate data storage equipments.
The two companies added that they expect this deal to be complete by the first quarter of 2008.
After the completion of the acquisition, EMC would operate Document Sciences as a business unit within the EMC Content Management and Archiving division.
