Auto Expo 2008 in India
The upcoming Auto Expo show in Delhi next month would be the ninth one in the series.
The 2008 edition of Auto Expo would also be the largest automotive show in Asia.
It would cover a floor size of over 1.2 lakh square meter featuring 10 hangers and seven state pavilions.
More than 2000 companies are participating in this latest edition of the Auto Expo.
A lot of new launches are planned for this event. The biggest one would be the Rs. 1 lakh car from Tata Motors.
The Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers’ (SIAM) director general Dilip Chenoy spoke about the Auto Expo 2008: “While automobile CEOs have been regulars at the expo in the past, for the first time we are expecting CEOs of top automotive bodies like the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA), the German Association of Automotive Industry (VDA) and the Centre for Automotive Research (CAR) from the US that will participate and explore business opportunities in India.”
Minor disappoints are Toyota Kirloskar Motor India and Nissan Motors who would not be present at this event.
