Microsoft acquires a stake in Oxigen Services
Software giant Microsoft has now acquired a 35% stake in virtual payments and distribution firm Oxigen Services.
The two companies did not disclose the financial aspects of this deal.
Oxigen CMD Pramod Saxena had this to say on the new developments: “This alliance will help Oxigen expand business rapidly in the virtual payments and distribution space using Microsoft’s web and mobile-based technologies, as well as getting access to its advertising services.”
Blue Label Telecoms is another company which owns a stake in this company. Incidentally Microsoft holds a 12% stake in Blue Label Telecoms.
Oxigen technology powers as many as 50,000 retail touch points.
