Force India to launch their Formula-1 car in Mumbai

Force India has announced that they would be launching their 2008 Formula One car in Mumbai next month.

The car would be powered with an engine supplied by Ferrari. It is unlikely that they would have demonstration laps in the Indian city.

The first test of the car is scheduled to take place on the Spain’s Barcelona circuit on Feb. 25.

This year’s Formula-1 season is scheduled to start in March.

Vijay Mallya acquired the team Spyker last year and renamed it Force India. They have already announced the drivers for the team. The drivers are: Italian Giancarlo Fisichella and Germany’s Adrian Sutil.

Team’s Mike Gascoyne spoke about their targets for this year: “I think there are three or four teams we can target and by the middle of the year maybe more than that.”
