Aylwin Lewis leaving Sears Holdings

Sears Holdings has confirmed that their Chief Executive Aylwin Lewis would leave the company by next month.

His position would be handled by their executive vice president of supply chain and operations W. Bruce Johnson.

Hedge fund manager Edward Lampert spoke about this new development: “The board has determined that now is the right time to put in place new leadership to take the company forward.”

He would also be part of the hunt for the new CEO of the company.

Sears face intense competition from Wal-Mart Stores and Target Corp in the US market which is somewhat slowing down and becoming more competitive.
