eBay now cutting fees to list products on the service
eBay has announced that they are now cutting the fees they charge from their members to list items on the web service.
The aim is to enhance their competition against emerging competition from services from Google and classified services like Craigslist.
John Donahoe spoke about this new announcement: “Consumers have more choices than ever, and they expect more when they shop online today. We’re serious about making eBay easier and safer to shop.”
Incidentally this is the first time the company is offering their sellers an incentive to use the service.
The company said that the aim of this announcement is to encourage more people to log on to eBay to sell and purchase items.
