Research in Motion: Blackberry user’s data safe
Research in Motion has confirmed that their services were affected on Monday leaving their customers without any connectivity.
However, the company has now assured that no data was lost during this outage and all messages are safe on their servers.
Market sources claim that the problem lasted for as long as three hours. RIM confirmed: “No messages were lost and message queues began to be cleared after normal service levels were restored.”
The company however failed to explain the reasons for this outage. RIM just had this to say that they continue to focus on providing industry-leading reliability in its products and services.
Incidentally, a similar kind of outage was faced by their customers last year as well.
