Baidu profit up as it continues to dominate china
Baidu.com is the most popular search engine service in the Chinese market and the company has just posted improved profits.
Baidu’s net income in the quarter rose 79 percent to 219.8 million Yuan. The sales were up at 571.1 million Yuan.
The company managed to lure away visitors from rival services in the country to keep its market share at the top.
Baidu CEO Li said in a statement: “First-quarter sales will be affected by the snowstorms and the holidays.”
Market analysts agree on one point that the company would continue to dominate China in the near future and it would take something special from Google to come close to them.
