Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing to manufacture new UltraSparc processors

Sun Microsystems has announced that they are now collaborating with the Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing.

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing would now be manufacturing their new generation of UltraSparc processors.

The two companies are also going to collaborate on expanding research on the processors in Taiwan.

TSMC said in a statement that they would be manufacturing these new chips using 45-nanometer production technology.

Sun said that they picked up this new partner as it offered them the best price for their product manufacturing.
