Getty Images being acquired by Hellman & Friedman
Hellman & Friedman is now acquiring the popular photo and video supplier Getty Images.
The deal is worth around $2.1 billion and comes days after the company said that they were looking at strategic alternatives.
This price tag is a premium of 55 percent over Getty’s closing price on January 18.
Getty Images added that their board has given the permission for this deal and they expect it to be complete by the second quarter of the current year.
This acquisition deal however requires the approval from the shareholders in the company.
