Sony and Sharp working together to procure LCDs
Sony and Sharp might be competitors but market situation has brought them together.
The two companies would now work in collaboration to procure liquid crystal displays.
Market sources say that Sony would now invest 100 billion yen in a plant being set up by Sharp to make panels for flat TVs.
An official confirmation is likely to come sometime today.
