Viacom posts improved profits
Viacom has come out with their revenue report and the company has posted a 16 per cent gain in fourth-quarter earnings.
Viacom benefited from improved sales of their DVDs as they released Shrek the Third and Transformers.
They also gained from improved revenues from its cable television division.
The company posted earnings of $559.5 million. This is up from $480.8 million in the same period previous year.
Revenues for Viacom were up 19% to touch $4.25 billion.
